Photography Challenge Day 9: Someone You Love

The someone I love for today is me! Most of my posts are just meant to be pretty pictures, but this one comes with a message: love yourself.

There’s a quote I adore by Christine Arylo: “Be nice to yourself… It’s hard to be happy when someone is mean to you all the time.” We are constantly told that if we love ourselves we are narcissists; if we are anything but self-deprecating we are boasting; if we are kind to ourselves we are weak. None of this is true! You are the one person you spend all your time with, and you deserve that person to be nice to you.

So please, start trying to be kinder to yourself. Talk to yourself as you would a child whom you love. You will feel better about yourself, and that love you give yourself will spread to others around you!

Photography Challenge Day 8: A Bad Habit

I’m skipping around on my photography challenge again. Not because there was no fruit today, but because I’m terrible at following schedules. I really wanted to go to the grocery store to take a picture of the big piles of fruit they have, but I was feeling ill today and didn’t want to go out. So yeah, no fruit.

Instead, you get a picture of a bad habit: Staying up late.
